Regular services at our Church
ON SUNDAYS AT 8.00 AM: Holy Eucharist in the Lady Chapel. This follows the traditional Book of Common Prayer and has a quiet, deep and contemplative spirit in the service with that special feeling like that of going back to an old and faithful friend. All welcome!
ON SUNDAYS AT 10.00 AM: At 10.00 a.m. we have our main Parish Church Service which we call the “CELEBRATION COMMUNION” in the central body of the church, for which we use a variety of modern forms of worship. This is our very special time of intense worship of God wherein we seek to encounter the Living God in His Word and in the Sacrament of his Body and Blood in Holy Communion as well as to meet him in the fellowship we have with each other. All welcome!
CHILDREN are always very welcome. Special facilities are laid on for them during the main 10.00 a.m. service.
ON TUESDAY EVENINGS: We have a very informal and spiritually intense service we call the Prayer Eucharist when we sit in a round and share the Word of God, pray for people in need and conclude with sharing in the Body and Blood of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. All welcome!
ON THURSDAY MORNINGS: We have a very special tradition service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer on Thursdays at 10.30 am. This service is always followed by a service of laying on of hands and anointing for those who come forward for this ministry of healing prayer. All welcome!
QUIET MORNINGS: On the last Thursday of every month, we have a ‘Quiet Morning’ or ‘Monthly Retreat’ when we take time off to listen to a special address, pray in silence, celebrate the Holy Communion and share a simple refreshments which include a ‘bring your own sandwiches’ lunch. All invited.
Full details are on our Parish Notice Board.
OCCASIONAL SERVICES: From time to time we have special themed services in the afternoon or evening. Recent services include the annual Bereavement Service, All Souls Day Service, Bible Sunday Service, Hallowlight Service, New Year service, etc. We are also hoping to have more evening services and quiet evening retreats, times to be quiet, silent and commune in God’s loving presence.
MUSIC: The music for our services is provided by a group of members who play a variety of instruments. At present we have keyboard, guitar, percussion and vocalists. New singers and musicians are very welcome!
